Make sure the temp' gauge does a full sweep at first. That will rule that out as the problem. It does cranks but will not even fire. The starter sounds a little slow tho.i checked using forscan, it cranks around 120rpm only. I had this problem for some time, couldn't get over 80 unless I was going down hill and the revs and speed would drop off going up hill. Finally traced the problem to a broken wire going to the map sensor now have no problems reaching 3 figure speeds. (TDCi engine) He gave details of the belt he used, and I checked with my local car spares shop and they can get the belt, costs £30. .
