A6 / S6 (C6 Platform) Discussion - 2006 A6 seat heater not working - The 30A fuse was blown. When I replace the fuse, it blows again and smoke comes out of center console. So after a full year of not having my seat memory work, I decided to dig into the problem myself. I searched this and other forums, not much found but Madman78 did send me a great full vehicle wiring diagram PDF which identified three possible fuses and, a couple of relays. I looked and looked for the fuses as indicated, finally found another What I would do in this case if my objective was to "get the car running" would be to find a donor car to replace all the modules. Then the wiring harness will have to be inspected pin by pin to verify continuity, resistance and shorts to ground ect. If the harness isn't fried you can replace the modules one by one. I found that if you do the following with the button which moves the seat forward and back it resets the memory function. First push and hold the button forward until it moves all the way forward until it stops then keep button held for 5 seconds. Then do the same in the backward direction.
